"Meet Your Maker" is an official selection at the Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival. Motherbox confirms that "Meet Your Maker" will play on Sunday, June 22 during the 3:20pm "Made in PA" block at the Baverso Theater - 420 Chartiers Ave, McKees Rocks, PA.

'Meet Your Maker' at Wigle Whiskey

Attention, Earthlings! "Meet Your Maker" is screening at Wigle Whiskey Distillery on Tuesday June 3. It's playing as part of a fundraiser for our new short film, "Regular Paintings." The event runs from 6pm-9pm. Food, drinks, tunes and sci-fi. Be there or you're banished from the galaxy!

"Regular Paintings" is our new short film and we need your help to make it happen! It's the story of a directionless guy whose midlife crisis never showed up because he never learned to think ahead. He takes a job working the late shift at a rickety old bar down the street where the paint is peeling and the dust is gathering on the bottles and staff alike. It's a good gig... until closing time when the lights start flickering and the juke acts up and some very strange characters stop by for drinks even though the doors are locked.

It's a film for and about the night owls and outcasts, or anybody whose ever felt like they didn't fit in.

'Regular Paintings' - a new short film coming soon-ish

Fellow humanoids! We Francarts are excited to announce that we're embarking on another wallet-testing adventure in the film business. Our next short film, "Regular Paintings" is in the works. It stars some familiar faces and some fresh ones as well. We're raising money for the project now, and we're planning to be in production in July.

"Regular Paintings" is a supernatural short concerning a contentedly directionless bartender who must choose between the pressures of the rat race or the warm boozy embrace of the eternal regulars that haunt his bar.

More about this project in the weeks and months to come at yet another website: francartsquared.com, our permanent internet home for all things Frilmmaking (Francart + filmmaking = Frilmmaking. Nyuk nyuk nyuk).

Meanwhile, "Meet Your Maker" is still in the hands of capricious festival programmers. We'll be getting word about more acceptances/rejections in the spring and summer. Screenings will begin in earnest late in the summer. Keep you antennae crossed for luck.

Boston Sci-Fi makes the right choice

Despite some technical problems, we were voted in to the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival! "Meet Your Maker" screens on Sunday as part of a short film sidebar at the annual 'Thon. Very few details at this point, as has been the pattern. But we're in!

Good News/Bad News

Fellow Earthlings, "Meet Your Maker" is part of an online competition to get into the 39th Boston Science Fiction Film Festival! Details on how you can help vote us to victory coming later today (we hope).

Elsewhere on the home planet, The Chicago Underground Film Festival named us winners of the "Not Accepted" prize. No screening necessary. This is our first festival rejection, and our first step to indie credibility.

'Meet Your Maker' at Film Kitchen

Eureka! "Meet Your Maker" is playing at the Melwood Screening Room on January 14th as part of the monthly Film Kitchen series. Molecular machines gather at 7pm for a reception with beer and pizza. Persistence of vision will allow you to experience our film following work from two other filmmakers. A Q&A will follow the screening. So hop on the nearest photon and beam on down! Tickets are $5 at the door.

The final month of work on Meet Your Maker

Justin and I are tying up loose ends. We're putting together a press kit for festivals. I'm finishing up the very official website, which you should look at now. The DVDs are in production. You are excited.

Free Online Halloween Screening!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to our premiere at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont last night. It was a great event with a huge turnout. And thanks to Ben Prisbylla at the Hollywood Theater for being such a great help to us.

In other news... tomorrow is Halloween! And for 24 hours, you'll be able to catch "Meet Your Maker" online for free! After that, we're taking the film down for image and sound tweaking, and preparing for the DVD release. To watch the film, go to our brand-new official website, www.meetyourmakerfilm.com.
